The Beauty Within?

familiar faces?you bet..

that is if you watched the Beijing openign ceremony this year..of cos unlinke inder tat was stuck in some stranded corner in the world where tv's never seem to work ):

to those that missed it, Lian Miaoke was the girl dressed in a red gown and white shoes and sung the Olympics theme song, 'ode to the motherland'..except for the fact that she wasn't reli singing but rather she lip-synced peiyi's voice..

sound ever so familiar?yeah well except this time it involved a third grader and a 7 year old girl..the 'motherland' gave the following reasons..

1. peiyi had buck tooth
2. we needed a FACE but Peiyi had THE voice
3. we decided to give both the girls a chance
4. we wanted the best so we brought in the best of both worlds
5. in other words...peiyi wasn't pretty enough to represent the nation

aihss..i tawt this only happened to teens,,why bring in such innocent young kids?!think peiyi's smile is not cute enough?where's the honestY?we need true talent not some fake loveliness living the effort of an unknown person..

lets try putting ursewf in this situation,,how would you feel?imagine her years growing up knowing she wasn't chosen because some bigg shot ****ole didn't think she was pretty enough..where wud her self esteem lie trying to cope?whats worse is that uneven teeth kids has been reli common in china but dirty politics decided to play around wif these girls instead..

but can we reli blame the motherland?nowhh...the society is to be blmaed partially..it was for our interest that they had to play around with these two girls..the society itself demands a preety looking face all the time and it was up to them to give us what we wanted..u noe the thingy 'when the buying stops the killing does too?' that kinda thing..

it has been the human nature no doubt that we're often attracted to something beautiful..beautiful looking food,,beautiful things and at times beautiful people..that's why they have beauty magazines!but do u noe how much of low self esteem does beauty magazines reli promote?when you most attractive features thru out ur life that'll never age is your heart and soul, why is the physical appearance still up a higher notch than true honesty?is this the disgraceful tune the whole world is singing to?fake loveliness??...

hmmm..of cos it's no harm in wanting to be beautiful..but to judge others by using the beauty meter?thats just wrong..brought me to write something i read about the othr day..

1. First God brought forth His light. From his creative power all beings came.
- from this one light the whole universe came forth,,who is reli good and who is the total opposite?who looks good and who x?do we reli have the right to judge the person sitting next to you when we're all a part of Him and actually came from the same place. i noe, that doesn't mean robbrs and rapists are good..but try looking in a diff point of view..are we reli that superior than others that we have the right to judge all their actions and their physical appearance no matter if she has a buck tooth or a crooked smile?

2. The creator is in His creation and the creation is in The creator. The clay that we are made from is the same but fashioned into many forms. But there is no fault with the clay and the Potter so how can there be fault with the creations?
-when God as a friend lies in everyone of us,,how can u judge the other person?the fact that we all need to learn is that no matter what forms we've been shaped into, God has blessed each one of us with glorious beauty in his own eyes and that we are all special no matter who we are..the people around you may not ever understand that but what else do you need when you know you're special to The Special One?even if the person next to you doesn't look the same, you all are still Siblings of Destiny (: remember that*
